Welcome
To Uganda

Situated at the geographical heart of the African continent, Uganda
has long been a cultural melting point, as evidenced by the existence
of 30-plus different indigenous languages belonging to five distinct
linguistic groups, and an equally diverse cultural mosaic of colors,
music art and handicrafts. The land is home to a profusion of colorful
tribal groups and today, they are all proud to be Ugandans, with
their own traditional lands and a way of life inherited from their
ancestors.
If you share a love of
both the environment and travel, then an ecotourism vacation could
be a way to combine the best of both into one great adventure. You’ll
get to see some of the most remote and beautiful locations on earth,
all while making sure you preserve them for those who follow.
BIRDING
TOURS
Uganda is arguably the most attractive country in Africa to birdwatchers,
not only because of the unusually high number of species recorded
within its borders, but also because it offers easy access to several
bird-rich habitants that are difficult to reach elsewhere.
Uganda’s remarkable
avian diversity-1008 species recorded in an area similar to that
of Great Britain- can be attributed to it’s location at the
transitional point between the East African savannah, the West African
rainforest and the semi-desert of the north.
Gorillas
and Primates
Uganda has the highest diversity and density of primates recorded
anywhere in East Africa totaling over 15 species of both diurnal
and nocturnal primates. Uganda’s star attraction, the mountain
gorilla, hides deep in the misty rainforest in the southwest. These
rare animals are sometimes hard to find and that’s what makes
tracking them an exciting adventure. No less than one realizes that
fewer than 700 individual survive in the whole world!
