Mburo Holiday Uganda
Lake Mburo National
Park lies in western Uganda along the Kampala-Mbarara highway. The
park accommodates mammals like the Eland, antelope as well as zebras
and waterbucks, making it among the most admirable places to visit
in Uganda. Lake Mburo National Park is exceptional for its attractive,
soothingly sloping hills and open grassland basins, intermingled
with brushwood, woodlands and rich wetlands. While at Lake Mburo,
you will see the impala, waterbucks, the Cape buffalo and zebras
plus many other animal species.
DAY 1: Departure for Lake Mburo National Park,
enjoy a Boat Ride
Early in the morning, you picked up from your hotel in Kampala after
you have taken your breakfast. Take Masaka Road and continue to
Mbarara. You have a lot for you to see ranging from good countryside
to vegetation along the way. You will also make stops at Mpambire
to see drums and other traditional musical instruments made by the
Royal Drum Makers. You will stop at the Uganda Equator, a dividing
point for the North from the Southern hemisphere. Put yourself in
the equator line for the picture session. You will arrive in Mbarara
town around lunch hours; enjoy it from there and then after head
to Lake Mburo National Park. You will see wild animals grazing side
by side with the domestic livestock. You will go into the park through
the Nshara gateway. You will take an afternoon boat trip on Lake
Mburo before retiring for an evening and spend the night at Lake
Mburo Tented Camp or Lake View Hotel Mbarara.
DAY 2: Game Drive
Early in the morning, get set to take an early morning game drive
through the national park with your guides. You will return to the
lodge to have breakfast and then go back for more exciting game
drives. Get to see zebra and the long-horned domestic cattle grazing
calmly. Retire for the evening and spend the night at Lake Mburo
Tented Camp.
DAY 3: Leave Lake Mburo National Park for
Kampala
Early in the morning, get a briefing by the guides before departure
to Biharwe. Arrange to go Bicycle cycling through the park. You
cross some swampy low-lying areas, dodging larger hills through
small villages and small communities. After the exercise, set off
for Kampala where you reach in the late evening for overnight and
dinner.
